Julia was visiting a jeweler in the Ponte Vecchio and fell absolutely in love with a stunning gold bracelet with a snakeskin pattern. As a bracelet is an ornament for the wrist, this pattern became the inspiration for the ornamentation on the edge of a bowl in the Florentine Collection. The ridge of each piece reflects the snakeskin pattern, while the intricate arches on the sides of each piece represent the bridges arches of the Ponte Vecchio.
